Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

CONVENTION SEASON IS UPON US!!!
Anime Milwaukee is SOOOONNNNNNNN like next weekend soon, like Valentine's day weekend soon! Yay! I am really excited.

and I will be traveling together. As mentioned in my previous journal entry, this is my first time in Milwaukee as well as the convention. I can't wait to see what is in store for this convention

Cosplays I'm bringing:
Mikaze Ai - Uta no Prince Sama 1000% Love
Taokaka - BlazBlue
Asari Justicar - Mass Effect 3 multiplayer

I am debating on bringing a 4th cosplay and that would be Toph Bei Fong....decisions decisions

After Milwaukee is going to be FANIME and San Jose, California. This too will be my first time going to this convention. Definitely excited to be flying out of cali once again. Woo

Taokaka - Blazblue (only if I can fit the cosplay into my suit case)

Another first time con will be Dragon*con in Atlanta, GA!!!!! Going to be meeting up with a bunch of Mass Effect Elite people there! Hoo yeah, finally I'll find more ME fans to hang with. Here's to hoping that the convention will be a blast! Our group had such a troubled time booking a hotel so much ajskld;fjlas and screaming internally for it. MERHHHH

The final convention of 2013 is going to be once again NebrasKon! I think this will be my 8th or 9th year attending this convention. I'm excited to see what new things this convention can come up with! Those of you in the midwestern area of the states should definitely come check us out! We have over 100 panels every year, a Masquerade Ball, RAVES, Cosplay Contest, Cosplay SWIMSUIT Contest, Anime Idol and so many more fun activities. We may be a small convention but we sure do know how to have fun! So if you're looking to squeeze in one more convention before the end of the year come to NebrasKon! (and done with advertising XP )

I've already started working on it, I already have the majority of the armor cut out---it just needs to be put together and painted XPP
My main thing is figuring out how to make a helmet, I really can't fathom how people make them from scratch!

Helmets are easy and yet hard. XD It really depends on the material that you're using. I'd almost say pepakura would be best for Nemesis. Heavy card stock. Resin. Helmet!
